Blessed Ncube (BBAdmin, Cert Proj Admin, Adv Prog Proj Man), a Transaction Advisor & Strategist (SMME Development) in the KZN province, is a Founding and Managing Director of ZARfrica Projects, an organisation that specialises and drives projects in business advisory, policy and strategy formulation in the public and private sectors. Prior to founding ZARfrica Projects, Blessed worked as Project Developer and Researcher for African Conservation Trust’s Recycling and Waste Beneficiation Programme in KZN Province. He later joined Ukewanje Systems as a Business Development Manager while continuing his business consulting role with SMME’s and NPO’s. On establishing ZARfrica Projects, Blessed became the Projects Director in charge of Fundraising, Project Planning, Strategy Formulation, Project Administration and M & E. A former student leader from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Blessed Ncube is conversant with the relevance of Regional Local Economic Development (RLED) having implemented projects in the social development sector through various Not-for-Profit organisations and SMME’s. A Business Administration graduate, Blessed Ncube is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.


Todani Manala-Moyo (MBA (Wales), EDP(Harvard, GIBS), ADP (IDSA), PG Dip in Company Direction (Baruch, NY), Cert in Risk Mgt (USB), PDP, BCom(Accounting) is the Chairman and CEO of Lutendo Holdings, Valotone and Yokoyo Investments (Pty) Ltd. He is a professional accountant, with experience in project and development finance as an Investment Banker in the United States of America. Prior to becoming the CEO, Todani served as Managing Director and Chief Executive of Msinsi Resorts and Game Reserves He sits on a number of reputable boards in South Africa, bringing expertise in corporate governance and enterprise risk management. Todani Moyo has been involved in securing project finance for large construction capital projects e.g. the Tsogo Sun Hotel at Hemingways Mall in East London. His recent $3.5bn mall development project is the largest yet. Prior to founding Yokoyo Investments and Lutendo Holdings, Todani took employment as Director of Finance and Administration with uMngeni Water in Pietermaritzburg. A trustee and honorary Treasurer of the Maqhubu Ntombela, is also a trustee and the current Deputy Chairperson of the Wilderness Foundation intermittently chairing the Finance Committee. Todani Moyo also sat on the board of Road Accident Fund (RAF) where he was appointed Chairperson: Risk Management & Ethics Committee and a Member of the Chairs, IT, Remuneration and Audit committees.


Carl Grossmann is the founder and present Chairman of the African Conservation Trust.  Carl is also the sole member of C & F Expeditions CC, a specialist NGO consultancy, based in Durban. Carl holds a National Diploma in Surveying from Technikon Natal and a Masters degree in Environment and Development from UKZN in Pietermaritzburg. He is an elected Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society (London, UK) and a Past President of the Rotary Club of Hillcrest, District 9370. He is a member of the International Association for Impact Assessment South Africa (2855) and the South African Council for Professional Land Surveyors and Technical Surveyors (ST288). Carl also worked at the University of KwaZulu-Natal for twenty years. During his time there Carl conceptualised and assisted in the research on oil extraction quantities from the seeds of the Pappea capensis (Jacket Plum) tree as a viable indigenous oil producing feedstock for biodiesel production. Through the African Conservation Trust a pilot project around the planting of Pappea capensis trees was implemented (with funding from the National Lottery Distribution Trust Fund) at Mphola Village near Nongoma in northern KwaZulu-Natal. Carl has been involved in biodiesel production for the last eight years culminating in the use of a small batch plant for production of biodiesel for the African Conservation Trust internal operations.


Francois du Toit (BCom Mkt, Admin, Econ, LLB, Dip Proj Mgt) has nearly two decades of experience in financial and business development services, and project management. He has been responsible for resource mobilisation and technical capacity building in a range of not-for profits throughout southern Africa, and has gained years of invaluable experience at the coal face, as principal consultant in a variety of interventions in the SADC region. He is a sought-after speaker and facilitator, and has successfully raised over R80 million for rural and environmental projects over the past decades. Francois currently serves as CEO for the African Conservation Trust. Francois also serves as Director: Strategic International Projects for Headway Venture Capital, and is a previous Director for Msunduzi Innovation and Development Institute (MIDI) and previous Chairman of the Durban-based board of USE-IT, focussed on recycling and waste management initiatives. As well as serving as an advisor and mentor to a range of other environmental and community development non-profits.


Siyabonga Mngoma, CA (SA), BCom Acc Hons is the Managing Director of Bumello Investments. A Licensed International Financial Analyst and has 13 years of experience in accounting, financial management, as well as strategy formulation and risk management. He has lectured part time to honours students in financial management. He has served on the Audit and Risk committees of the Natal Playhouse Company and the South African Diamonds and Precious Metals Regulator, and is a member of the Training Requirement Committee of SAICA. Siyabonga Mngoma has worked at numerous organisations turning around their finance departments as well as ensuring improved financial management support service to business units. His previous work as Chief Finance Officer (CFO) at Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife (EKZNW) included business process and financial engineering, enterprise wide risk management as well as coaching and training of staff in financial and risk management.
